Cédric Villani, Deputy and mathematician, visits the Innovation Pre-Factory

On 11 June, Cédric Villani, the renowned deputy and mathematician, visited the Beelys student-entrepreneurs, the Pulsalys start-ups and the students enrolled in the Digital Transformation university diploma at the Université de Lyon.

A highly-anticipated visit for student-entrepreneurs and start-ups at the Université de Lyon

Cédric Villani and Jean-Luc Fugit, Rhone department deputy, visited the Innovation Pre-Factory at the LyonTech-la Doua campus to meet the student-entrepreneurs from Beelys, Pulsalys start-ups and the students enrolled in the Digital Transformation university diploma.

Khaled Bouabdallah, President of the Université de Lyon, opened the meeting. He then gave the floor to Fanny Martin, assistant to the Innovation Factory project director.
The student-entrepreneurs and project leaders then presented their company or start-up projects and discussed them with Cédric Villani, in a Q&A session.

At the end of the meeting, the winner of the prestigious Fields medal showed his excitement about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the student-entrepreneurs’ projects.
Alain Asquin, Director of Beelys and Sophie Jullian, President of Pulsalys, closed the morning session.
