Fourth Scientific Advisory Board meeting

On The November 30, 2018

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) met for the fourth time on Friday, November 30, 2018.

This meeting’s main objectives were to take stock of progress on the IDEXLYON project and prepare the jury evaluation next fall.

Members reviewed the different recurrent calls for projects funded by the IDEX: IMPULSION, IDEXLYON Fellowships and the Scientific Breakthrough Program. They also discussed the construction of the so-called “Target University” that will bring together Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon by 2020.

The board issued strategic and operational recommendations to increase the chances of improving the IDEXLYON project and of obtaining a good evaluation by the international jury, by taking into account comments made by the 2017 jury.

The next SAB meeting will be held on April 2, 2019.
