Through the IDEXLYON project, the Université de Lyon is supporting far-reaching international thematic schools in order to enhance the site's international outreach by promoting and developing its scientific research.

To support thematic schools with a dual objective of:
• disseminating the latest scientific knowledge to audiences with an interest in a particular scientific theme or a clearly defined methodological approach;
• strengthening the international reputation of the Lyon Saint-Étienne university site and its research units.

To be eligible for IDEXLYON support, the thematic school must:
• pursue a clear training objective;
• be managed by a member of the IDEXLYON consortium;
• involve at least 25 participants (in addition to guest speakers);
• be held over at least three days (a minimum of 15 hours of teaching time for the participants);
• take place on the Lyon Saint-Étienne university site or on another attractive site in France
• be organized or co-organized by research professors or researchers from the Lyon Saint-Étienne university site.

Please note: the symposium must open 3 to 18 months after submission of the support application.
