The European Research Council (ERC) has recently published its list of “Consolidator” grant beneficiaries. These grants will fund a total of 327 exploratory research projects over a maximum period of five years, with a total budget of €655 million. The project leaders are researchers who completed their thesis between seven and twelve years ago.

Three UdL projects are among the 327 projects selected:

- Angela Madeo, university professor, member of the Geomechanics, Materials and Structures Laboratory (GEOMAS – Laboratoire Géomécanique, Matériaux, Structures, INSA Lyon), and beneficiary of the ELAN-ERC scheme in 2019.
Project title: Learning to play LEGOs with metamaterials!

- Chloe Michaut, university professor, member of the Geomechanics, Materials and Structures Laboratory (GEOMAS – Laboratoire Géomécanique, Matériaux, Structures, INSA Lyon), and winner of the AAP IMPULSION call for projects back in 2018.
